This 1994 Volkswagen Type 2 13-Window Deluxe Bus has quite a long name because it designates a car that's quite special. It's a recently restored Brazilian import that celebrates a part of VW history we rarely get to see.

South America kept many VW traditions alive longer than even Germany did. This is the kind of vehicle that gets to blend some of your favorite elements of the Type 2 Bus. The flat front end is the later Breadvan look, and the great body lines keep the crisp and clean look going from every angle. Of course, the full window treatment, including the wraparound rear ones, has the look of those first-gen surf wagons. And this even has a step ladder and roof rack so you can have an epic road trip to the beach. When you reach your destination, the big and iconic ragtop sunroof folds back so you can let all the surf and sun into the van. Even the little details are nice. After all, we love these with two-tone paint, and the mustard yellow and white look period-correct. But it has a modern smoothness to look good, and there's even some bright trim to help separate the colors. It's a full two-tone style, right down to the wheels.

The interior is restored to look vintage but feel fresh. It starts with the driver's seat. You get a classic VDO gauge package, a tall shifter for the four-speed, and a grippy dual-spoke steering wheel. But the part that you'll like the best is the way the burgundy seats have distinct white piping. This kicks off a full package that's coordinated on the side panels, kick plates, and upholstery for all three rows of seating. This is full of terrific classic details, like the fabric window curtains that draw added attention to all those windows. It also has practical features like seatbelts for all rows and a rear defogger. And the rear seats fold flat in case you feel like having an overnight trip.

Under the rear hatch is the ultra-tidy 1600cc motor - it's one of the largest of the series and a dual-carb unit. This looks like it was given plenty of attention during the restoration... and it runs just as good as it looks. Details like the power brakes, front discs, and modern cruising tires are all part of this road-ready package.

A South American VW Bus like this means distinction, freshness, and nice updates. It makes for a cool classic that's more fun to show off everywhere. Call today!!!
