1966 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Custom Additional Info:
Vehicle Original VIN : 116337217
This 1966 Volkswagen Beetle is a restored example where they have taken the time and money to create a unique classic. It keeps all the fundamentals you love of an earlier bug, and it mixes in a more powerful motor, a more luxurious interior, and an upgraded suspension with four-wheel disc brakes and air ride controls. That makes for a shining custom Beetle that's ready for everything from turning heads on the streets to taking home a few trophies.
We all love the iconic streamlined Beetle shape, but you can instantly tell this one was given extra attitude during restoration. But the upgrades were done with an added level of thoughtfulness. For example, the paint has a sleek style of a careful modern application that shows off the terrific body lines. Jasper Green is still a VW color, just from later years. And those 15-inch Cosmic wheels are built for use with the Bug's Porsche cousin. Every detail seems to have been done with just a little added distinction. So you have unique front grilles, a decklid raised for added ventilation (it hints at great power,) and even the correct covered headlights are now done in yellow. And while this Bug is already going to turn plenty of heads everywhere it goes, you can also make sure people never forget this one every time you park and let the airbag suspension lower this one practically to the ground.
While the Beetle is known for being simple to fix and maintain, it's also a treat to see that someone made a quality investment in restoring the interior. The seats are stylish tan tweed and leatherette. Plus, the piping on the seats and doors coordinate with the exterior green. There are some fun takes on classic pieces, like an under-dash shelf now done in metal. And the classic radio is on display, but your real driving music comes from a Bluetooth speaker in the rear. Cruising is nice with details like the hand-crank sunroof and the air ride switches hidden away in the glove box. And this one was made for driving. You have nice upgrades like the Momo California steering wheel, a Porsche-style shifter knob, and an added AutoMeter tach on top of the dash.
You see more of this car's thoughtful style with the ultra-clean look of the engine bay. The clean look, polished metal components, and hammered texture to pieces like the fan shroud give it the right look of sturdy German attractiveness. The reason this motor can look so good is because this was built by the masters at Steelbugin Performance. It's a larger 1910cc built to give this Beetle a real power advantage over the factory units. It fires up cleanly, like a freshly restored car should. And we're told this has Freeway Flyer gearing in the four-speed manual transmission for better cruising on journeys near or far. As you look at the undercarriage photos, you'll see just how fresh this car is everywhere, and you'll spot the full upgrade to Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes.
This is the classic Beetle that has been given the right upgrades to be a stand-out all-around cruiser. So you know you don't want to let it slip away. Call today!!!Description coming soon, call for details!
