I'm selling my 1959 Single Cab. I'm selling it and my 67 Squareback (also listed on here) so I can buy a Double Cab. Two things about the Single you should know up front. First, It's titled as a 1967 due to no paperwork available when the man who built it, built it. He was from Texas and was able to transfer the VIN plates during the build. This is not un-common in the classic world. Second, The front wheel wells are TUBBED and it used to sit on Air-Ride. Since then, the air-ride has been removed and taken back up. With that being said, the seat is also raised due to the tubbed wheel wells so if you are tall, this is probably not your ride. I'm 6'2 200lbs and I fit in it and drive it a lot but after an hour or so, I'm ready to get out and stretch. When I purchased the S/C sight unseen, the owner didn't tell me about the tubbed wells and after a 14 hour trip one way trip to pick it up, I decided to bring it home and play for a while. The motor is a 1641 and runs strong. Within the last year, We have put a new battery, new starter, new plugs, new wires, new fuel filter, rebuilt the dual carps, and got it running good. I've replaced the seal in the gas cap and oil cap. The bed was sanded down and coated with a product called lizard skin which is kind of like a bedliner but a different texture and painted it to match. The wiring has all been checked and everything works as it should. It does need a speedometer cable. I have the documentation from when the man built it. He made a label for everything and wrote it all down with dates and all. The two front tires are about 6 months old and the backs are in new condition. The bodywork and paint was all done when I bought it. There are ghost flames on the front which look cool. There is a 3rd brake light mounted flush above the rear window. The paint is NOT perfect and there are flaws but it still looks good. The body is pretty straight and I'm sure there is probably a patch or two of bondo but good luck finding one with out. I have the bed rails but they are not finished. I have no idea if these are the original ones or not. I'm guessing not since he gave me several of them. I actually love the look of the S/C without the rails on. Everyone thinks I chopped the rear off a bus. Sometimes I correct them, sometimes I don't lol. The interior was all done recently as well and looks great. New door panels, kick panels, roof panels, and seat. The middle part of the seat was cut and made to raise up in order to access the storage below. It looks awesome. The CD player works well and has a remote to go with it. The doors lock and the ignition it point on. The storage compartment and doors have good seals. The storage is coated with 3M Bed Coating and so is the entire underside. I drive all my cars so do this to protect the undercarriage. I took a lot of pictures today 09/05/2016 and will post a link to the Photobucket account to check them out. I'm wanting to get $20k on it which seems like a fair price. If you disagree, shoot me an offer. You can call or text anytime at 479-366-4079. I live in Centerton, Arkansas and I can help with transportation if needed. Here is the link to the Photobucket account with all the pics... |
