This is a nice 1977 VW Westfalia Camper with all original parts.
I have a few buses (3) and am selling them now with a goal to get a late 60s split window in time -
The motor has been rebuilt partially and runs beautifully
The gas tank was removed an serviced before reinstall
There are new tires on it, br>
installed new brakes, ut in a new battery, nstalled a new fuel pump, nd someone had just put a new fuel injection control module on it.
The automatic transmission has been rebuilt in the past and shifts and drives well.
The body is in excellent shape. It has the ORIGINAL paint except for a small area above the driver rear tire that was sprayed years ago. There is no sign of Bondo there at all. The original paint is in great shape. It has several thin spots and several bare patina spots. Permatex rust treatment has been placed on those spots to protect them.
The bottom left of the sliding door has a small dent (see picture) which gives the door trouble opening - this could be an easy fix - I just never use that door really so I havent fixed it.
The only through rust is located behind the back bumper (which is very minimal) and a couple of dime size spots on the right and left rear lower panels. It is missing both left and right rear marker lights by the bumper.
The steps in the right and left front doors have a little rust, ut had rust treatment applied and is not through. Neither the pans nor the rails have any rust at all. They look incredible.
The rubbers around a couple of the windows are dry and I would recommend replacing them, owever it is not necessary. Included are 4 new shocks - have never installed - bus doesnt need them yet.
The van does have a/c, ut the compressor is missing. All windows work great. The drip rails are just about perfect with no rust.
When closing the sliding door, ou do have to push in on the back.
The interior is incredible. All the cloth is perfect and original. It has the original green front windshield curtain as well as all of the other original curtains throughout the van. A couple of them are faded a little.
Also, e have the original kids cot that goes above the front seats that is in perfect condition and the bug screen that goes across the rear hatch that is in great shape also.
I do know that the fridge doesn't cool and Im not sure about the stove cuz I've never used it.
Electrical looked over and new relay for blinkers and now everything is working properly. Heat system tested and serviced and in working order
Just had engine adjusted among other things and passed Oregon DEQ test no problem.
Engine is a fuel injected 2.0 strong engine which I do see giving anyone problems for a long time.
