I see a guy who adds cars as i do, Just take a look at his picts and you will see the half ass floor pan repairs, I mentioned in my add, along with undercoating and globbed up seam sealer, perfect example of what i was speaking about in my add, Their is nothing wrong with a repair in an old car, If it is done correct, After al, Your talking about a peice of steel over 40 years old, When the unibody is weak, on surrounding edges, where it mates with the convertible support rail on the pan, and you just patch repair, You are doing nothing to re strengthen the pan mounting point, pan will flex, you will see this down the road in your door gaps, and if anyone selling a vw has a problem telling the public the truth, Thats the difference between being a car gu, Salesman only is looking to line their pockets, and are clueless about the cars,
