1978 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Champagne Edition Additional Info:
I have only owned this super for 8 months. She has clear Florida title. It is a fabulous classic car! I am not trying to make money or wheel and deal on this classic. I am only selling because I recently lost her garage space and living beachside I do not want to see her deteriorate. I hope that whoever buys her will give her the TLC a VW deserves. I bought the car knowing that her exterior color and interior has been changed from its original Champagne color of Ancona Metallic Blue and white interior to yellow with black interior. My understanding is the engine has been rebuilt. It starts up with no issues even after leaving it sit for 17 days while on vacation. She has been driven at least 100 miles in one day and never a problem. I have had her completely checked and oil changed, tires are new, pans are good, no cancerous rust. A little surface rust on passenger door jam but nothing major. Interior in excellent shape, no cracks in dash. New digital touch screen dvd/cd player. Car has a boot cover trimmed in yellow for convertible top. Prior owner had her garage kept for the 5 or so years he owned it came from South Carolina in which the lady maintenanced it consistently and the receipts from the work she had completed were handed down to me.
This car turns heads and is such a fun car to drive on a sunny day. Nevertheless, she has been caught in the rain and wipers do work and no issues. As I stated, she will need a new rag top but this is a convertible and she is meant to be driven on beautiful days. My concern is how they run and the fuel injection engine. She runs like a top!
