The Black Pearl, triple black VW completely redone.
We have here an excellent super beetle convertible. It was very nice rust free low mileage western car.The car was white and the paint was a bit faded, so we stripped the whole car down to the bones and repainted the entire car black pearl-Thus the name, the Black pearl! 1) This isn't a quick paint job, its a complete $10,000 high quality paint job, cut and buffed2) This has the top of the line black cloth top with a black headliner with completely rebuilt frame3) top quality cloth interior, rebuilt seats. Top quality carpet 4) all new seals- doors, windows, top, trunk, engine bay- all new software.5) rebuilt engine, low mileage body6) rebuilt front end, new brakes, master and wheel cylinders
This was a low mileage Colorado bug and rust free. No pan holes, no rusty heater tubes, no wrecks. The motor did have a bad cylinder so we rebuilt the motor.then I recall saying, wouldn't it look good in triple black? next thing you know, the whole car is completely dismantled. just a sprayover would not do, so we dusted the body down to the bare bones and painted the interior. The front end had a bad tie rod so we rebuilt the whole thing. I had a vynl top, but the top needed to be stripped and rebuilt. So, why not the top notch black cloth with a black headliner. And for those who have never done a VW top correctly, its a huge project. Headliner, pads and the rear window is quite a task to use the original defroster glass and mount the top and the headliner to the window frame.
The interesting thing is bug gets more looks than 6 figure cars. everyone loves it- even the wife. bugs are quite an icon but you have to see one done to this level to really appreciate the air cooled bug. This bug could be perfectly at home at the country club or a concourse de elegance. yes, you can find them cheaper but you will be doing a lot of work to get it roadworthy. This one is virtually new and as good as they get!
I can work with the buyer on delivery to states bordering Colorado. This car is 100% roadworthy, we drove it a couple hundred miles for engine break in and this vehicle should have no problem on an extended drive- fly in, drive home.
