1969 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Additional Info:
Selling my 1969 convertible. Incredibly solid car, runs and drives great. Only rust is a small hole under the battery. The heater channels and rest of the pans are rock solid. Front has never been hit and is also solid with no rust.
All the windows work smoothly and the top opens and closes pretty easily. Was originally white and painted red at some point in it’s life. Paint has some scratches, but is shiny, not a show car. Front passenger fender was painted again and some point and isn’t a 100% match. See photos. Everything works except the radio and horn. Recent oil change and tranny fluid top-off. All the interior is there. Starts up right away and no issues when driving, no gears pop out, never stalls. It does take a minute to start back up once it’s been running awhile, but then it runs fine again. Tires have a lot of tread on them.
Top doesn’t have any tears, but seems like it may have shrunk a bit, see photos of sides are not completely overlapping and when you close it, theres a gap in the front between the top and windshield. Currently have a thick seal in there to fill this. Also some separation below the back window. Headliner is solid with only a small hole in the very back corner beneath the window.
Great car to have fun with as is, or would be an excellent candidate for a restoration with such a solid, rust-free base. Clean Oregon title in my name.
New:- Carburetor- Battery- Starter- Main cable from battery to starter- Horn and ring- Visors- Steering dampener- Plugs and wires- Taillight and front signal lenses and seals.- Ignition switch- Tail pipes- New brake shoes
Please call or text if you have any other questions or would like to see the car in person. Located in Grants Pass, Oregon.Buyer is responsible for pick up and shipping. I can meet a car transport next to I-5 where there is a large, open parking lot. Easy loading and quickly on and off the I-5 freeway.
Would consider trade for pre-67 bus project or a bay/vanagon Westy project.
