1959 German 23 Window Driver

Early March of 59’ Mostly Original Paint 23 Window Deluxe Daily Driver!! Authentic German numbers Matching M-Plate, VIN, Frame.This bus was found about 8 months ago in a sleepy little Eastern Kansas town where the elderly couple that had owned it for the past 35 years and was storing it in their garage in the hopes of getting her back on the road someday. I secured the bus and began a preservation! This bus was patiently and painstakingly stripped to her original Sealing Wax Red and Beige Gray Paint. At this point every effort was taken to preserve as much original German metal on this bus as possible! I also replaced the bottom of the passenger side corner window. We had hoped to stop the metalwork there but there was rust through under several skylight windows, so we put an entire new roof on as well and totally restored the sunroof mechanism and installed a new sunroof canvas. The corner window seals and front glass seals are also new. All of the metalwork was patina blended to match the Patina of the Original Paint. The bus retains its very nice Original Front Seat and there is a buildable Rear Seat and Deluxe Bar. The bus also still has some of its Original Interior Panels. It is powered by a very strong Single Port 1500 Motor that received an extensive tune-up and new brakes as well I can provide all the mechanical details to interested buyers. Finally the bus is sitting on period correct Firestone Bias Ply Tires on powder coated rims! I have over 300 pics documenting the preservation of this iconic bus available to interested buyers.
