1975 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Westfalia Additional Info:
Are you looking for your dream resto-mod Westfalia camper? Then this bus is for you. Over a year was spent restoring and upgrading every aspect of this vintage Westfalia that matters; work was done by a retired VW enthusiast who has extensive Westfalia restoration experience - so you know the work was done right; this is a labor of love by a VW enthusiast - not a business - only selling to focus on a new project. Over $11,000 recently invested in parts alone - this does not count the cost of the Westy itself and over a years worth of labor.

Mechanical
This bus features a powerful 4-cylinder 1.8L Subaru engine rated at 110hp; however, with the Kennedy Engineering manifolds, cone intake and lack of emissions - it likely makes significantly more horsepower than stock. To cool the engine the bus was converted from the original air cooled system to water cooled, with a custom belly radiator setup that is specifically set up for the Subaru engine; you can learn more about this style of conversion by visiting busaru.com. The engine came from a low mileage, running and driving Subaru car - and was extensively gone through before installation. A new aftermarket heater box has also been installed and plumbed into the water cooling system, so your front air vents blow nice hot air when needed.

This Westy is ready to go camping! Unlike most Westfalia’s out there with 40+ year old wiring and plumbing - this VW has had the interior completely disassembled and everything has been fully gone through. All cabinets were removed with new sound proofing and insulation material in walls. All plumbing and wiring has been tested and replaced or upgraded where needed - most everything is fully functional and better than new where upgraded. A new auxillary battery kit powers the interior with a built in trickle charger for campsite hookup. The 12V power outlet now also features a USB power plugin.

Final Thoughts
Shipping is recommended and is the buyers responsibility; beware of shipping “brokers” who do not actually own transport trucks. We keep the license plates in Florida, so if you plan to drive the bus home you’ll need to bring a license plate; however, again with a 40+ year old vintage bus, unless you live close - we strongly recommend shipping it home so you can drive it locally and get a handle on it before taking off into the sunset.
