1972 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Additional Info:

1972 VW Super Beetle for sale.I purchased this restored(except for interior and paint) vehicle in June 2014. No rust!! Floor pans and battery tray are solid. I have put about 35k miles on engine and 4-speed tranny since rebuild. I'm ONLY selling because I recently got married. Owner's manual included. Title in hand.

Oil and valves were changed/adjusted religiously every 3k miles. Services performed 1k miles ago. This car would drive to California and back.

Things I have done to it in order:Disc Brakes all the way around and will fit original 4 lug wheels. Adapters were used to fit Porsche rims. You can go back to original rims and still keep the disc brakes if you want.New brake linesNew master cylinderIncreased diameter sway bar from Topline.comCoil over springs from Topline.com(lowers the car 2in. in front)Porsche Boxster rims(Front tires were new, back tires have lots of tread left.)
Electronic ignitionShift rod bushingClutch CablePush button startNew Carpet from TMI and new paddingNew seats and padding(Seats were completely rebuilt)New window seals and felt. Vent window too. Regulators were greased.Window Tint
New BatteryProgressive carburetor 34/36Accelerator cableUpgraded Euro style exhaustUpgraded to an alternatorLuggage rack(may not be pictured in some photos, but is included with vehicle)
The paint is a 7 out of 10. Gas stains are visible on right fender. Small rust spot on decklid. Blue stripe is plasti dip. Paint was 4 years old when I bought it.All electrical works except for radio.
Over $3700 invested since I purchased the vehicle...…….not including labor. The only thing I personally did was the carpet, padding, and electronic ignition. Everything else cost me.
The bad:The windshield wipers do not return to horizontal. You have to tap the lever gently a few times until wipers return.Seat belts lock if pulled like in an accident, but do not retract when not in use.Windshield washer fluid apparatus does not work.Coil over springs are causing a squeaking at right front tire area...….but only if you have a passenger in the car and making a hard left. Otherwise, its unnoticeable. My mechanic found nothing wrong, so he couldn't fix it. He said to bring it back when something falls off and that was 4 years ago. At this time, its not a problem, only an annoyance.
