Up for auction is a 1966 VW Beetle with a complete body of restoration started in June 2014. This car was restored to be as accurate as possible to the original with some minor custom twists
Built at the Emden Germany VW factory on May 23, 1966 and left factory on June 2, 1966 destined for Los Angeles, CA
Paint was kept as the original from factory L-87 Pearl White color. Interior is all new TMI tan with sand tweed inserts, TMI seat foam for comfort. New perforated off-white headliner as original specs
Everything has been touched and restored on this vehicle
Vehicle still has the 1600 DP that was installed in the early 70's by the VW dealership (VW engine exchange program) Engine has been gone through and runs great. Tri-Mil exhaust, Pertronix Electronic Ignition, Solid state voltage regulator. Heater boxes are not installed.

All new brakes and brake system, hoses, hard-lines, master cylinder upgraded to dual master for safety.
Every piece of rubber / seals have been replaced with German replacements

Original VW glass except for front windscreen, Side rear pop-outs installed

Airkewld dropped spindles with larger tie rods and inner wheel bearings on front for stanced look(have originals if wanted to put back to original stance). New Oil filled front shocks, gas-charged rear. All new bushings, ball-joints.
Original roof rack, Retro-Sound BT Stereo(still have original 6V Saphire AM radio)
