My Wife’s Beloved “Daisy”— our beautifully and recently restored 1957 VW Beetle Bug, is for sale. Our tired old bones find it easier to get in and out of larger cars, so we have taken up an interest in Studebakers. “Off she goes” to YOUR garage.Daisy’s body was completely disassembled and refinished in 1957 Horizon Blue. This a very high quality, high gloss finish. Touch-up paint will be included. I have found no evidence of the car ever having been in an accident.Completely new interior with proper carpets hiding under very cool Bamboo floor mats. If you find yourself driving on a cold rainy day (we never have), the heater works well. So does everything else, thanks to a new wiring harness.Matching Wicker Parcel Shelf mounted under dash to stow your valuables. The charming roof rack has wood slats that look great with the bamboo inside. Just waiting for your luggage and picnic basket!Underneath you’ll find a clean and totally rust-free pan with the exception of a tennis ball size spot under battery. Easily repaired.Mechanicals were completely gone through: brakes and hydraulics, shocks and steering, etc. Drives just like it did in 1957.Mostly original glass is all wrapped in new rubber. It’s tight! No leaks here!Surprisingly peppy engine is a refreshed correct sized 1200 C.C. from a 1962 Beetle Donor.The transmission is the original ’57 split-case 4-speed, synchro’d on 3 gears. Smooth and quiet.Chrome bumpers are high quality Triple-Chromed finish without a scratch.Wheels are pin-striped and rolling on brand-new Coker-Classic Wide White radials.Parts catalogue and repair book included.
