In a sea of classic cars we as collectors are gravitating to these original cars more and more.
Why?
We get different answers and many do not even understand themselves why we are so drawn to these original cars.
I am convinced myself that it all boils down to story.....All cars and collectables tell a story, Some more interesting than others.
Some old cars are fully restored and they look fantastic......but they lack an interesting story.
This is the "Dependable Cleaners" bus out of Grand Island in Nebraska state.
Early in this bus' history it appears to have suffered an engine fire, Because of this it's service life cut short at just 44,800 miles.
After the bus made it's way to Oregon it was cleaned and preserved rather than fully restored. Any metal that was rusty has been professionally removed and correct high quality panels used to refit.
The interior is a very rare so-22 westfalia arrangement, It is original and very inviting as well as simple.....Like the vintage vw brand itself.
Comes with full length rack, tent and vintage collapsible picnic bench.
The brakes are all new.
Power comes from a 12 volt stock 1600 and the original "big nut" transaxle.
The tire combo is exactly what was on it when found, the classic 15 6.70.
All new rubber. Doors open and close as they should, Keys match the locks so it does lock up.
The bumpers and wheels are original finish......*Side note*....Many vw bus guys even with "patina passion" will paint the bumpers and wheels bright white and it really looks out of place on a survivor car......When you have a patina/survivor car you want survivor everything to keep the balance/embrace original.
I have shipped many cars and antique motorcycles to places all over the globe with only positive transactions in over 20 some years.

***The bus is all original paint cleaned and touched up with ACTUAL VW vintage synthetic enamel, there is no filler and the finish is professionally cleared over so only wipe or wash, no buffing needed*
