1964 Triumph TR4 1964 TRIUMPH TR-4. MIDNIGHT BLUE METALLIC WITH BLACK TRIM Additional Info:

Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this driver level TR-4 Convertible that runs well but needs some rear axle work to get back on the road to be a driver. This car was recently purchased from the Pacific Northwest from the state of Washington, where the previous owner was driving it daily. This car appears to be originally painted white from the factory with a black interior. It's a simple and crisp color scheme that suits this car well fitted with it's standard wheels. The body on this car is quite decent overall with OK panel fit all around. There's no evidence of accidents or outer body rust but underneath the car could use some inner sill replacement and the typical front driver's floor repair. Paintwork is older and in average condition but still presents fine from a distance. The car's brightwork overall is decent. The windshield glass is good as well as the driver's and passenger door glass. The car's interior has decent vinyl seats and panel kit, OK carpets, along with a nice looking original wood dashboard and steering wheel. The top pad and crash pads could use some improvement. The top is quite decent and hasn't been up for a while. It's slowly stretching itself back out again. The car includes a black tonneau cover. The car's TR-4 engine starts easily and quickly on the key with a little choke. It revs well with good oil pressure and no smoke and seems to be a healthy unit. The previous owner was using the car on a daily basis until the rear axle started giving him some issues and ran out of gear oil. It needs rebuilding or replacing. Replacing it would be the way to go, as they are tough and very reliable units. They can be found sometimes for around $300.Overall, a very decent TR-4 that could be made into a fun summer driver. This car is sensibly priced and is very good value as these Michelotti designed Triumphs are very attractive and popular cars on the market right now.
