1959 Triumph TR3 1959 TRIUMPH TR3A. OVERDRIVE GEARBOX. GOOD DRIVER. Additional Info:

Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this good driving TR3A in a nice factory color scheme. This car was just purchased from it's seller from the last 10 years in the Kansas City, Missouri area. This car was modestly restored about 15 years ago to a decent standard. It runs and drives very well with a super strong engine and is great fun out on the road. The bodywork on this car is average. Paintwork was a decent job and is quite attractive from 10 feet. Upon closer inspection, it's now showing it's age with various points of cracking in the bodywork, some chips/light scrapes, and lifting in some areas of thicker applied filler. It's perfectly fine though for a decent driver. The car's interior trim is a nice job and was nicely upholstered in matching vinyl to the front seats, rear optional seat, door panels, quarter panels, cockpit cappings, and quality red carpets. It's all holding up very well and is really attractive. There's only some noticeable sunburn/fade to the tunnel carpet between the seats, that shows some age. The dashboard is finished in black vinyl, which is in good shape. All of the instruments are functioning correctly. The car's weather equipment is decent with a very nice white tonneau cover, decent soft top, and aftermarket sidecurtain set. The steering wheel looks very nice and is the original.Mechanically, the car is in very good shape. The engine starts easily on the key without fuss. It has great oil pressure, no smoke, revs hard, and pulls the car like a steam train along the road. It makes all of the right sounds and is great fun to navigate. PLEASE SEE VIDEO. The transmission is fitted with the rare and desirable overdrive unit which isn't currently connected up electrically, but could be a simple fix...The car's underside shows some older repairs completed during the car's last restoration.Overall, an attractive and fun driving Sidecurtain Triumph with nice older cosmetics, that can be further enjoyed as is.
