1973 Triumph TR-6 -- Additional Info:
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this very exciting, fully restored, 1974 Triumph TR6. The car has been through a 2 year well executed, highly detailed, frame off restoration process beginning in 2006. The car is finished in attractive burgundy metallic exterior paint over black interior with classic wood dash fascia, Autometer Pro Comp gauges, wood shift knob and black convertible soft top with the reflective striping all riding on 15 inch Panasport Wheels.
Under the hood lies a professionally prepared, completely rebuilt, inline six cylinder engine with all new internal parts including a high performance cam and roller rockers. It has new valves, high performance valve springs, bronze guides, Teflon seals, new studs, all new hardware through out etc. Other mechanical highlights include: polished triple weber carb set up, custom fabricated polished remote air cleaner, polished stainless radiator shroud, braided lines and hoses with correct AN fittings, new master cylinder, new slave cylinder, rear aluminum drum brakes, upgraded front disc brakes, all new lines, hoses belts, Wizard aluminum high performance radiator, a complete suspension upgraded including new performance springs, SPAX adjustable gas shocks, front and rear anti-sway bars with nylon bushings, all new suspension hardware and bushings, new wire harness, new 123 ignition, new clutch kit, new aluminum fly wheel, dual exhaust, and the long list goes on.
Cosmetically the car is excellent in all areas. The frame and underside show excellent sporting nearly all new suspension components, new brake, new lines etc., the exterior body and paint is fresh and excellent, the interior is new and tidy and the engine compartment is stunning. Mechanically, the car is a complete blast to drive. It provides excellent power, wonderful sound, smooth shifting and true braking. The suspension is tight and precise giving the car excellent handling capabilities. One of the best TR 6's I have driven.
The Triumph TR6 is the last of the traditional British Roadsters. These cars offer a pure, open air, sports car motoring experience that is unique to the marquee. The sound, the feel and the handling is something that any auto enthusiast should experience. Their traditional design, mechanical reliability and parts availability make them easy to own and enjoy. A highly restored, performance-oriented example such as this are in high demand, command global attention and are proven investments.
