1971 Triumph Stag Convertible Additional Info:
“BARN FIND” from “ARIZONA”
Needs new paint or leave original. Not running so tell your transporter when you’re arranging for pickup.
I picked up this 100% RUST FREE clear titled Arizona desert sports car and hauled to Va and started to restore...But now we’re moving and the girlfriend says that the Stag isn't going to be moving with us.
Triumph was acquired maybe six months ago and I have only washed off the dust, vacuumed her out. Ordered a front emblem and steering wheel. took the old tires, off of the original chrome spoke wheels, which are included obviously. Now it’s on temp roller tires which have good tread.
From what I can tell the car was last operable in early 2000s when it blew a water pump. The guy I got it from said that he had recently put a battery to it and it started and ran strong. It’s got a Buick V-6/manual. My goal was to replace the interior pieces and exterior bits as needed. Add some new alloy replacement wheels. Send it out for a mechanical overhaul and get a new paint job.It actually might be your preference to leave it’s weathered appearance totally original. Which many have suggested.... and then your not far away from a pretty cool, almost fifty year old timeless beauty.
