1970 Triumph Spitfire MKIV
This is a great opportunity to own a classic British roadster that will only appreciate over time. This car has been fully restored from the frame up. The photos speak for themselves, but I will give an overview of the car as well.
The car is a very early 1971, but due to the way cars were imported and titled back then, it was titled as a 1970, as that was the year it was first sold. (it was originally titled in NJ).
The frame of the car was completely disassembled and sandblasted down to bare metal. It was then primed, painted, and clear coated the same color as the car. All suspension components were either restored or replaced. It features polyurethane bushings, Koni shocks all around, sport springs in the front, all new hardware, ball joints, tie rod ends, new leaf spring in the back, etc.
The drivetrain was completely gone over. The engine has all new gaskets, new water pump, new fuel pump, new alternator, new valve cover, Mikuni carburetor, new clutch, pacesetter monza exhaust (it’s pretty loud). The timing chain was also replaced. It has an aluminum radiator as well. It really is a great running car. There is much more that I can’t think of off the top of my head.
The interior is a mix of new and original. The seats and interior panels are original and the carpets and a lot of the trim is new. The top is in good condition…It fits very tight.
