1965 Triumph Spitfire Additional Info:
Here's a near perfect 1965 Triumph Spitfire MKII. This car was professionally restored in 2015, parked and never driven by the owner. I acquired the car in March and completed the restoration and got the car running. I actually had to drill the holes for the license plate. The owner paid over $17,000 for the restoration as the car was his mother's and thought to be a one owner. Every panel has been replaced or refinished to near show quality. Engine runs strong, starts easily and has no rattles or shakes. Drives like new. I replaced the clutch master as after sitting for years it leaked and caused some paint to bubble on the fire wall. New fuel pump, clean tank, sand blasted wire wheels and repainted. Replaced rear bumper over riders and rear bumper-ettes, installed a brand new dash cover and detailed interior and exterior. The front bumper is the only thing I'd replace however it's ok. Top is excellent and installed correctly. Interior is all new including all panels, carpet and has new seat foams, covers and later model seats making the ride much more comfortable. The only problem is putting the top down takes 2 people as the frame needs to be tucked beyond the sides of the seats so they don't get damaged. This is due to the later model seats are wider than the earlier ones. All lights work as well as gauges, but just noticed that the gas gauge is fluctuating. Wood dash is excellent and has a brand new dash cover just installed. radio console is covered in leather and the stereo is awesome! The floors, frame, trunk and rest of the body is near show quality, see the pictures. Engine compartment and under bonnet is super clean. This is the nicest Spit I have ever seen. I have a clear PA Title in my name ready to transfer. I try to describe all my items the best I can so there are no surprises. I can be reached at 814-931-0627 with any questions. I will assist in shipping as long as all arrangements are made well in advance by the buyer. If you are looking for a great Spit, this is it. You won't be disappointed. The car is known to be for sale locally so I will end the auction early if sold. There is a much lower reserve than how much money was spent on this restoration. Paint color is Porsche Silver.
