1972 Triumph GT6 Additional Info:
Green 1972 GT6 with Overdrive and 67500 miles. The car was last registered in 2002. I believe the mileage is actual.
I purchased this car in August but just have too many projects. It starts well but has to have the choke partially pulled to drive and idle well. The car has an electric fuel pump.
All the glass is good although it needs new windshield and hatch gaskets. The floor pans seem intact from under the car except right at the sill point. They have rusted through there. The lower part of the passenger sill has rusted through. It appears to have had front half floors installed at some time. The sills will certainly need to be replaced for a restoration effort. There is rust in the battery box. There is a little rust on the wheel lip of the bonnet and its leading edge.
Clutch and brake hydraulics have been rebuilt. The 3/4 Overdrive lockout switch mounted on the transmission is missing. Overdrive solenoid engages when gear lever OD switch moved. I have not driven the car far enough to verify that the overdrive actually functions.
The tires have a lot of tread but are horribly flat spotted from having been parked for almost 15 years.
The Interior is decent. Replacement uninstalled wood dash included. Passenger seat is good while the driver has a loose seam. The seats are tan. Carpet has faded to yellow orange color.
The 72 parts car (with title) is HEAVILY rusted. It has engine, non od transmission, rear axle. The radiator is also there and glass and doors look usable. The firewall is heavily rusted and combined with rusted sills has allowed the body to sag so that doors are difficult to shut. Clear title.
No foreign bids will be accepted. I reserve the right to cancel bids with less than 10 previous bids or with less than 90% positive feedback. A non-refundable downpayment of $500 via Paypal must bemade within 24 hours of winning the auction. Failure to make the downpayment cancels the winning bid.
