1984 Toyota Pickup – 22RE – Clean Title
Up for sale is my 1984 Toyota Pickup with the legendary 22RE engine. These trucks are getting harder to find, and this one would make a great restoration project, work truck, or candidate for someone familiar with older Toyotas.
The truck runs and drives, but it has a transmission issue that needs to be addressed. It has shifting issue of dropping down a gear once around 55mph. Runs very smooth around town only on highway it has the issue.
I’ve spent a lot of time trying to find a qualified mechanic in my area who has experience with these older Toyota pickups, but I simply haven’t been able to find anyon, they all say the same thing it’s too old to work on. I’ve decided it’s best to sell it to someone with the knowledge, time, or resources to get it back to 100%.
This is an honest sale. I’m not trying to hide anything, and I’d rather be upfront about the truck’s condition. The engine starts and runs, and the truck has a clean title. With the transmission sorted out, it has the potential to be a great classic Toyota pickup again.
