1993 Toyota 4Runner VN39 SR5 Additional Info:

1993 SR5 4WD 4Runner (2nd GEN)

• 3,173 miles ago: rebuilt A340H transmission, rebuilt transfer case, replaced speedometer (original one was at 213,076), replaced throttle valve cable, replaced transmission oil cooler lines, $4,088.19
• 3,160 miles ago: installed K&N air filter, $81.06
• 3,156 miles ago: replace R/L upper ball joints, replace R/L rear wheel cylinders, replace power steering pulley and pressure hose, $1,060.00)
• 3,151 miles ago: replaced spark plugs and wires, distributor cap, rotor, $160.00
• 3,058 miles ago: re-geared both differentials with 5.29:1 ring/pinions (for upcoming lift and 33" tires), $3,193.19

** I noticed smoke in the exhaust and was told that it is likely a leaking head gasket. Long story short, I decided to do an engine swap to a 3rd GEN engine,

5VZ-FE,https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2V30K7ePLMM. I removed all of the components from the 3VZ-E engine, bought an engine lift (cherry picker), and halted due to lack of time and money.

The motor was completely disconnected, but is now re-connected. If you can do a head gasket job, you're getting a lot of truck for the money.
