1993 Toyota 4Runner SR5 Additional Info:
Purchased the truck with the intent of making it a weekend rock crawler, and have just lost interest. Truck does has a new/used transmission from another 1993 4Runner that had 65,000 miles on it. Truck starts, runs, shifts well, but does need some work and refinement. It is not necessarily pretty to look at, but it has solid bones to be a good truck. Still needs a little tweaking to be just right. Interior is a solid 7 out of 10, power windows, door locks etc. A/C and heater both work, however it sounds like the A/C compressor is starting to go.
Now for the bad.....
There are two pronounced rust spots on the truck, one on the passenger side just under the gas filler cap the other is on the rear bumper, drivers side corner.
The windshield is going to have to be replaced since it is cracked badly, the overdrive intermittently works, (solenoid needs to get replaced) and it is a previous lien sale with salvage title. I do have all the paperwork you will need to get it registered in your name. There is a small oil leak coming from the top back end of the motor, but on the plus side the heads are in good shape and there is no blown head gasket. It will need new front CV axles.
It would be best suited for someone who is looking for a 4x4 project.
I encourage anyone who is looking and has any questions regarding history prior to a year ago to use the VIN and pull a vehicle history report prior to purchase. I will do my best to answer any questions there may be.
Any questions please ask, and check back as I will be updating the posting!
