Vehicle Details
I have for sale a 1985 Toyota Landcruiser, a straight Arizona truck. It has 280xxx miles on the clock; however, the engine was completely rebuilt about 10k miles ago. At that time, a hotter cam was installed as well as full Manafre ceramic header and full exhaust. In addition, a new Toyota 5 speed was mated to the engine. Recently, a Holley Sniper fuel injection system was professionally installed by Overland Cruisers (OLC) in Sonoita, AZ along with an 80 series in tank fuel pump, custom fuel lines and ignition system. Many other little things have been done including a new aluminum radiator, new 134R ac compressor, OME shocks, a very minor 2 inch lift, roof rack, and LED bulbs all around. The interior is in great shape as well although there is a crack in the dash right below the radio.
As mentioned, she is an Arizona vehicle and has no rust whatsoever. She has been stored inside a garage but she is a driver and thusly not in pristine condition. I recently drove it 1600 miles around northern Arizona and she performed perfectly. I have receipts for basically every bit of work that’s been done to her.
I’ll highlight some of the major work that has been done and I have all the paperwork for:
• Performance engine rebuild at Desert Crank and Engine in Tucson, AZ that included a performance cam and full Man-A-Fre ceramic header/exhaust
• A new Toyota 5-speed transmission
• Performance clutch assembly from Specter Off-road
• Rebuilt transfer case
• New carpet set
• Had the sides of the seats reupholstered
• Professionlly repainted in the original white
• Complete emissions delete
• Professionally installed Holley Sniper system
Along with the custom Sniper install, Overland Cruisers performed a myriad of little things that include:
• Sniper injection kit and complete custom fuel lines, in tank fuel pump etc
• New R134 a/c compressor
• Minor oil leaks addressed including a new front main seal and complete oil pan
• Alignment
I’ve also done a few things personally to enhance its performance and functionality.
• New aluminum radiator from Cruiser Corps
• OME shocks and steering stabilizer
• Custom rubber floor mats
• All the interior and exterior lighting has been significantly upgraded to all led including the headlights (they’re amazing!)
• Lockable metal center armrest
• Custom roof rack that supports a tent etc
• Lots of practical electrical upgrades, additional external lighting, extra 12 v plug, usb etc
As far as any issues go, the only problem it has is an oil leak that is emanating from the rear cam freeze plug. This necessitates a classic $5 part that requires the transmission to be removed to fix. I opted to not have OLC perform that task recently but did have another oil leak sorted out coming from the front main seal and the oil pan itself, all of which were replaced. The current leak is not big but it is persistent, a few drops after it’s been driven. The oil pressure gauge doesn’t work; apparentl, it’s the gauge and not the sending unit. Aside from that, there really isn’t anything wrong with her. There’s a paint chip here and there but both mechanically and cosmetically she’s in very good condition for a nearly 40 year old rig.
My personal goal was to make this the perfect self contained camping truck ready for adventure or whatever life throws at you. I feel like I succeeded. Onur, the manager and lead mechanic at Overland Cruisers would be more than happy to go over any details I might have left out.
The roof top tent, awning and other camping gear pictured will not be included with the vehicle.
I just noticed that I have a “0” rating next to my name. Although I’ve never sold a vehicle on eBay motors, I have been a fairly active member of eBay for over 25 years. I’ve never had a single negative feedback over hundreds of transactions. To anyone who is actively watching this, please feel free to message me regarding questions or concerns. Any reasonable offer would be entertained.
