Testing the waters with my baby coupled with an upcoming Army PCS move with multiple vehicles already: Up for sale is an unrestored yet improved 1970 (SEP) FJ40. Original California truck. Super solid, no rust through, previous work, etc.Original paint (Capri blue)Original motor and 3 sp trans ( three on tree!)Runs well but has a skip of some sort. Never bothered me enough to run it down. Truck has never let me stranded. I can't go anywhere without someone wanting to talk to me about it. Things I've done to it:Newer OEM x4 Toyota wheels (welded)Newer BFG (less than 3,000 miles) x4 KM2sSpartan locker (rear)Newer brake master cylinderNewer aluminum radiatorNewer rear wheel cylinders for the rearNewer Icon inspired Metaltech half cageFour 3 pt seat beltsSuzuki sidekick rear forward facing seat2.5 Superlift springs with extended shacklesI'm forgetting others, I'll add as I remember This truck isn't perfect, but perfect for someone that knows how hard it is to find an original paint, running and driving FJ40. Truck has surface rust only. It has a sizable dent on the rear passenger quarter. Wipers, horn, speedo stopped working. Odometer never worked as long as I've had it (61,XXX). Fiberglass top doesn't leak but needs to be refurbished. With this said, I alternated with my car as a daily driver! Winch and stamped bezel do NOT come with truck. Thanks for your consideration of this truck! Any questions, just ask! |
