Truly interested in buying this Toyota Hilux? I know buying a vehicle without the benefit of being there to inspect it can raise a lot of questions, and these questions are most efficiently answered 'live' on the telephone, just like dad used to do it! I tend to judge the seriousness of a potential buyer by if they reach out with a call (Serious) or send a text message or email (not quite so serious) and reply accordingly. I do not have a lot of time to answer questions about the vehicles for sale, so please reach out with a call. I have more details and photos on my website.
Most people who send messages like to start with 'I am very interested in buying your vehicle...' But, if you are messaging me you are showing me you are actually not very serious. If you are serious, you should pick up the phone and ring.
So, getting to this truck for sale here now -- Here are the details:
This truck is currently sailing to me here in Georgia. Its ETA is May 6t, just over 2 weeks from now. My partner in Europe has collected this truck for me, taken a lot of photos, and driven it about 200KM back to port for me, so it has had a nice shakedown. The truck is available to purchase now, a $2500 deposit will secure it until it arrives to pay the balance in full and collect (OR I can have shipped direct to you) - If any of this is confusing, call me.
The Toyota looks as nice in person as it does in the photos here. After crawling all over i, the only blemishes we could find is some very minor corrosion on a door bottom. Truck is solid.
Starts right up on the button, drives well, transmission shifts good, and 4 wheel drive operates how it should. No funny noises, no leaks and no problems to speak of. The only thing I think that is disappointing about the truck is the previous owner changed the front manual windows to electric, and they are not as nice as the original manual cranks would have been... He added a small switch to right of instruments for this. If I were going to keep it, I would switch back to manual cranks , which can be had here in the USA from any Toyota truck of the same vintage.
Has tube rear bumper which looks nice here - Also has tow bar with electrics for towing your what-have-you around.
Driver's side (Right side, front) seat has tear on side, about the only thing letting truck down as far as looks go.
It may not be very fast, but this truck will get great mileage and a lot of attention. People love these trucks! Much more rare than a Land Cruiser and very practical, too.
Please take a look at the photos here and reach out with any questions, and I prefer the telephone for answering as I takes calls more seriously than messages. If you do send message be sure to include your number so I can reach back. Be sure to check my other auctions for more great unusual vehicles I have, too.
Please be aware this truck is for sale right no, and I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. If you want to buy it, be sure to bid fast and bid early. Or call. If you want to sit back and see where the auction goes before you get involved, you'll see the auction end days before it was scheduled to as a real buyer called me and purchased the vehicle.
I have a business putting Tdi turbo diesel engines in Land Rovers, and as such I have trucks transported all over the USA - I can get a great rate if you need to have the truck shipped to your home. But call to make an appointment if you can't come collect in person. Transport will be anywhere from $200 - $950 anywhere in the lower 48 states to you.
We here in the USA never got these cool diesel Toyota trucks - I am sure they would have been very popular and outsold the gasoline versions we did get. Peppy on the road, can cruise at 70MPH or better, and gets near to 30MPG or better - Transmission shifts great. - Ready for a road trip? This would make a great truck to do it in.
These do not pop up for sale often, and the ones I have seen have sold for a lot of money. Get a great deal on this one and enjoy for many years to come. Don't wait and lose out, bid now, and if you have any questions be sure to reach out to me for fast answers.
