1986 Toyota Pickup SR5 Turbo Additional Info:
This is an ultra-rare factory turbo-equipped Toyota Pickup. The 22RTE is mated to a manual R150 5-speed transmission. The motor is in excellent condition. Most of these motors have cracked exhaust manifolds, but not this particular one. All fluids/filters have been flushed/replaced. This truck is equipped with A/C and power steering. The truck was recently repainted after a replacement bed was found. The doors have electric windows, electric locks, and the ultra rare door panels. The factory "Turbo" bucket seats still remain. The steering wheel says "Turbo". There is also a special "Turbo" gauge cluster with a functioning boost light. There is also an ultra rare center console not found in any other model of Toyota Pickup. The arm rest needs to be reupholstered, as does the driver's seat. The windshield is cracked, but does not leak, so it has not been touched. All of the hard-to-find chrome trim around the windshield is also in tact and has not been touched. The truck comes with a sliding rear window. The inside of the bed was no repainted. The assumption here is that the new owner of this truck will get a professional bed liner of their choice. The frame was sand blasted and coated with a black urethane. New coil shocks were also installed in the rear. The truck comes with 4 brand new tires and 2 spares (1 spare mounted on a wheel). These trucks also came with a rare signature aluminum wheel. The emblems on the cab corners are faded, but have "Turbo" on them. The passenger door window only works intermittently for some reason. The steering wheel column has a small piece missing. The dash has the typical crack.
This truck was my daily driver up until the restoration. I got an average of 27mpg on a 30 mile commute one-way. The truck fires right up. See for yourself at https://youtu.be/bShZUSyjbG8
I would trust it to drive from the east to west coast.
