1977 Toyota Land Cruiser Base Sport Utility 2-Door Additional Info:
Here we have a pretty decent '77 FJ40. Good foundation for a restore project or just keep driving. The body and frame are nice and solid, no crazy rust cancer like a lot of these have. There are some minor holes/thin spots in the floor and the door edges, possible bondo around the tub . Runs and drives as is but there is plenty of work to do. Currently registered with a valid Texas inspection sticker and clean Texas title. The soft top is a well made reproduction that looks just about perfect on an FJ40. Ready for off-road with 31" tires, warn locking hubs and hi-lift jack on an original spare tire carrier. Lights/horn/turn signals and wipers (except sprayer) are working. Front heater is there but not working. Probably going to need a head gasket, it looks like there is some oil in the coolant (doesn't seem to be any coolant in the oil though). You can see in the pics that someone cut out the middle frame support. I don't see any frame cracks so it's just a matter of welding in a new support. I Really like this FJ but I'm just not using it much. Check out all the photos and if you have any questions just let me know.
The "Buy It Now" price of $9600 will include a nice Warn M8274 winch. No mounting plate but comes with a used roller fairlead. The brake parts, bearings and seals have been replaced. The control pack has been upgraded with an Albright solenoid. Winch operates nice and smooth, has not been used/mounted since the rebuild. Includes new grade 8 mounting bolts, power/ground cables and a brand new remote.
