1986 Suzuki Samurai Additional Info:
Fully Restored 1986 Suzuki Samurai with new 1.6 4-valve motor built by Xtreme Zuks (late 2015). Looks & Runs great! Here is a list of everything done by the previous owner when I bought it in 2017: Stainless steel header and exhaustMy-Side 2 bolt-on carb kit with big bore 44mm Harley Davidson carburetorTotally rebuilt transmissionNew high-performance pressure plate, clutch, throw out Barron and fly wheelTransfer case rebuilt with 6.5 crawler gearsFront rear axles completely rebuiltDetroit Lockers in the rear endFront end has Lock Right rockersCustom front bumper with a 9,000 lb WinchCustom rear bumperRock sliders on sides with full 1/2" skid panCD player and speakersRed paint job in 2015 - looks great still in 2020 and has always been garaged or coveredInside and front/rear has been sprayed with rhino linerAll new rubber seals around windows, bushings and doors31.5 Buck Shot Mudder tires in great shape Heat works great - no ACFront seats are fine and un-ripped but have some staining that won’t come out. There's no smell - just stains on the sides of the front seats. Backseat is from Samurai Salvage. This hard-to-find, bolted-down, original seat is great and folds forward or unlocks to give you a mini truck bed. I had planned to get it recovered but it wasn’t in the budget. Tachometer works but speedometer and odometer do not. Odometer is stuck on 80k from old engineI have not seen any rust on this truckNew custom Cover in 2020 ($250) A lot more had been done by the previous owner that he had not listed above. He claimed to have over $20k in it when he sold it to me. When I bought it there were a handful of small nicks in the paint near door handles and on hood hinges. There are also some nicks on the plastic fairing around wheels. These were all there when I bought it in 2017 and they have not changed or rusted at all. (see photos) There have been no nicks or dings during my ownership. It overall looks and runs great the engine from XTreme Zuks (late 2015) is excellent. It has been babied for the last 3 years. It also has a fresh synthetic oil change and inspection/registration sticker on it. I can’t imagine I’ve put even close to 2,000 miles on it in the three years I’ve owned it. The previous owner had it with the new engine for 2 years and he doesn't think he put more than 8-10k on it in those two years. So I'd say there are 12k or less miles on the rebuild. In October 2019, it got a great bill of health from highly respected Performance Automotive in Princeton, TX and they noted (referring to the previous owner who restored it) that the truck was "restored by someone that took pride in their work." They fixed the head gasket and cleaned and adjusted spark plugs. I have that 2019 receipt and a bunch of others that the seller gave me in 2017. I spent 3-4 months scouring every auto site I could find and finally found this gem. I flew to Atlanta to check it out, loved it immediately and completed the sale on the spot. I then had it professionally trucked to me in Dallas. I love this truck and all the attention it gets and conversations it has started but it’s time for someone else to enjoy it. It’s been a great, super-fun, around-town car that, although fully capable, I have never taken off-road. Li'l Red can be picked up in central Dallas, TX (75225) in person or by truck. (I had good success using uShip when bought it in 2017). Thank you for bidding and have a great day!
