1950 Studebaker Champion Additional Info:
Up for auction is my fully restored 1950 Studebaker Champion Starlite Regal Deluxe 5 Passenger Coupe. I am the second owner of this rust free Studebaker which spent the first 60 years of it's life in southern Missouri. I have owned it for the past ten years. The original owner restored this car in 2005. It has a period correct enamel paint job and the body panels have no rust, dents, or scrapes. The interior was completely replaced with the correct factory spec reproduction materials from Southeast Studebaker. The interior is in perfect condition. The trunk was repainted the correct factory color and has a new trunk mat. The engine was overhauled in 2005 and it starts and runs perfectly. The original unrestored transmission shifts smoothly. The overdrive quit working last year however. All chrome trim was either replaced with NOS or was replated. All window seals and rubber gaskets were replaced. The undercarriage is still very clean and looks like it was just recently restored. The car has a stainless steel exhaust system. There are no cracks in the windshield or side glass. The tires are five years old. The radio does not work. The windshield wipers and heater do work. I service the car and change the oil once a year. I use Hemmings Motor News 10W30 oil with ZDDP additive.
This is a wonderful car to drive. It sure turns lots of heads. I am selling to reduce my collection.
