1937 Studebaker J5 Coupe Express truck

Coupe Express trucks seldom appear for sale.

Most that do require "extensive" over-haul and a ton of body work.

On the scale of 1 to 5 with #1 being valued in the $70 to $100k bracket, #5 condition

trucks have been priced at $10k to $18K in recent years.

Complete but needing restore prices have risen upwards of $18 to $30,000.

Restoration began over 10 years ago.

· Clean undercarriage despite minor scratches from being moved

· Cab floor is solid! Truck bed is in NEW condition! Tailgate the same!

· Doors Are solid – but require adjusting to fit correctly

· Great bright work – bumpers rechromed front/rear

· Hub cabs - decent condition

· Tires - New condition

· Brakes hold. Unsure if rebuilt, etc.

· Running board rubber in NEW condition! (dusty from sitting)

· Rear bumper brace rubber installed. Front is missing!

· Nice Rear tail light extensions and lights!

· Correct “welting” done between Fenders and body front to rear!

· Correct Gas Tank/Cap inlet rubber installed!

· Wiring Harness front to rear is NEW (braided style as original)

Spare Tire Cover is painted yellow and "inside" the truck cab

Interior remains to be done!

· Seat needs complete upholstery! Springs are there for base/start

· Headliner is missing

· Door Panels missing

· Dashboard is nicely painted – some inserts missing!

· Steering wheel is nice! Painted yellow to match exterior

· Window track is missing - both doors. Vent Windows are in a box

Last run 3 years ago. Owner passed away prior to completing.

· Clutch/motor were in running condition

· Missing air cleaner

· Some window track channel

· 2 used doors for parts (striker plates//hinges for example)

· Headlight glass/inserts

· Door handles
