1939 Studebaker L5 Additional Info:
#518 of 1000 trucks built by Studebaker in 1939.A solid west Texas ranch truck that was thoroughly used. Motor block is cracked. All trim is present with exception of 1 head lamp lense, tail light and belt line moulding on doors. Truck has sold sheet metal with rust out along the bed floor in the fender wells. Running boards are useable. Truck body was floated with body filler in a previous restoration, so I removed all the filler, blasted it and primed with epoxy primer so that you and I could see the condition of sheetmetal. The only body filler remaining on the truck is in the front of the passenger side front fender, it is damaged and filled so bad it wasn't worth the trouble removing. Truck will need a complete restoration. I have an extra set of relatively good front fenders that can go with truck as well as a pair of 39 car doors that have nice skins. If you are doing an original truck I have what appears to be either an NOS long block or a rebuilt long block that can come along as well, but I cannot guarantee the condition of it. At some point during the past 79 years the frame cracked under a heavy load right behind the cab and the bed, whoever, may just have welded it where it was because the bed sets at a slight angle relative to the truck. The coker wide whites were new to the truck when I got it 3 years ago. Please look this truck over very carefully, for I am Not trying to hide anything with the black primer. Please ask any questions about the condition before buying this truck. It would be a great candidate for a Hot Rod or an original truck with much restoration. I have a clear Texas title in my name.

I must mention that one of the pieces of trim is missing from the passenger side hood skirt. Also, the splash apron under the tailgate has body filler due to dents.
