1939 Studebaker L5 Additional Info:
'39 Coupe Express, bought on Ebay from California in 2007 and in my possession the last 10 years, tucked away dry and I havent done much more than enjoy her beauty and gather some missing parts. Time for her to go. To me this is absolutely the most beautiful vehicle ever built and the patina is museum quality. PARTS MISSING: the air filter, wiring, rubber, rear bumper and tail lights. PARTS WRONG: all 5 wheels fit but only 3 have correct form and clips for the hubcaps, the passenger side engine panel side trim is not correct to my knowledge. BROKEN: passenger side hood hinge. STUCK: hood handle lock. TWISTED: the bed is a little twisted and the bed or frame need a little straightening. BAD: cab floor, drivers door and 2 spots in the bed. THE GOOD: For the rest this is a very solid original truck. the engine looks like it never left the vehicle, it turns over by hand and oil looks like it was poured in yesterday, clean. It has a new tailgate, a complete set of glas a beautiful bench and back rest and parts pictured.
Clear title. I was planning to do the technique and keep her the way she is but time flies and I've got to many projects to ever get started on this one. So guys, her she is. I know there must still be a couple of unmolested Coupe Expresses in the US, but they are getting very scarce (I've followed every one on the internet for the past 10 years). Just to take away any worrying about shipping from the Netherlands to wherever the buyer lives I'll include shipping to your doorstep (you pay insurance) if my reserve is met. If you would like to arrange shipping yourself I wil give you a discount that equals the shipping charges I would have to pay to get it to your doorstep. Either way shipping starts as soon as I have full payment in my bank by (inter) national money order. Good luck and have fun, Wessel.
