1951 Studebaker 2R11 Deluxe Additional Info:
1951 Studebaker 2R11 Pickup. Truck is Complete with Original COMMANDER Engine. This is the largest engine offered in this truck at the time it was ordered with a whopping 246 cubic inches as opposed to the standard 170 cubic inch size engine of the 2R5 model Studebaker pickup trucks. The factory installed standard 3 speed transmission was ordered as a column shift with rare OVERDRIVE OPTION. This is a highly sought after option. Rust through only in the few places shown in photos. Bed floor is perfect. No rust through with much of original blue paint remaining. Tailgate is as nice as you will find. Both doors open and shut as if this truck were brand new. Truck has both of the FACTORY INSTALLED outside door mirrors (driver and passenger side). Absolutely unmolested dash with all buttons, knobs and gauges. Installed new head gasket and found the exhaust manifold was cracked. Stopped there and then the carb was misplaced and we haven’t found it yet. ORIGINAL ‘BUDD’ wheels on vehicle along with 5 original ‘BUDD’ wheels in the bed of the truck that goes with the sale of this truck. Brand new master cylinder and front brakes with new wheel cylinders rebuilt. Have not even put fresh brake fluid yet! I would recommend putting in synthetic brake fluid to help prevent moisture contamination in the future. Also included with this sale are two used front brake drums as spares. Seat needs upholstering. Drivers door window has fallen off its track and is situated in the door and is unbroken. Comes with CLEAR title. These vehicles were factory titled off the engines at time of assembly and manufacture. Not a salvage or reconstructed title. Original plate and data plate are in factory installed locations.
