1952 Studebaker 2R5 Additional Info:
Your looking at an all original totally complete (minus seat bottom) 1952 Studebaker pickup. This truck is a one owner that was recently picked from a northern California barn. It has been setting in that dry barn since 1964 (last tag on plate) and I assume it was parked due to a bad head gasket. I filled with water to try to start and it filled the engine with water. I didn't go any further because I figured at that point I'd do a custom engine and trans. swap if I chose to go there. I have owned it for several months cleaning it and deciding if Id like to build it, but since have had other interests in my life divert my attention away from the building it. Plus its so untouched and original I hate to even take it apart. However it is a total gem of a truck with original patina on original blue paint and impeccably straight body. Images should show that clearly. No rust other than some light surface on the floors from residual moisture under mats. and on the door bottoms but again not rotten. My plan was to restore the inside and just satin clear the external surfaces to preserve whats there. The Bed is amazing and it has been completely UN-molested. One original taillight and both bumpers, one rear reflector. Only one 1963 plate was there. No paper work but I'm sure way way way off any dmv history. Can write a bill of sale. Really bitchin but Ive decided to let it go. but only at the right price, You will not find a better starter truck for any type of resto-rod, patina build or factory restoration. happy bidding, Im starting it at $5000 and understand that I'm not setting an unrealistic reserve .
