1956 Studebaker Power Hawk Additional Info:
Very rare 1956 Studebaker Power Hawk up for NO RESERVE auction. The Power Hawk was only made in 1956. Approximately 7095 were made and very few exist still today. They are extremely hard to find, let alone in any kind of condition. This car was an older restoration that has been in storage for the last 20 years. It would make a great candidate for a restoration or project. Most of these you find are completely eaten apart with rust and are missing all the chrome. Approx 6 years ago, it had new exhaust, complete new brakes including wheel and master cylinders, all new hoses, and radiator R&R. It was parked back in storage. This year it had new battery, new gas, and new fuel filter installed and it started right up. The fuel filter gets plugged up pretty easily so the tank probably needs to be cleaned out and a tune up done. It will start enough to drive itself a little bit. The body is all there and is definitely in restorable condition. The metal is very thick and it appears some bondo was used in various places but its solid for the most part. The paint was done a long time ago too and looks pretty good from a distance. Up close there are variations in the color and some runs. The front fenders have some rust starting to bubble in places along with the rockers and door bottoms. The trunk is mostly solid with some surface and one half dollar sized rust hole under the spare. The original spare is there as is a period correct jack. All the chrome is on on the car and the lenses. The chrome is a little pitted but definitely restorable. The bumpers are straight with a little surface rust on the rear one. The doors, trunk, and hood all open easily and close tightly. The interior appears to be all there as well. Front seat could use some work and the headliner has some tears in it. The back seat just needs a good cleaning but isn't torn up. Floor pans are mostly solid with some minor rust here and there. Glass is all intact, drivers side window is cracked and a little off the track. Windshield has 1 small chip that could be easily filled. Dash is very nice with no cracks. I've tried to describe everything as accurately as possible but don't hesitate to ask if you'd like any more pictures of a certain area. Clear title in hand. $200 paypal deposit due within 48 hours and full payment due in cash in person within 7 days unless other arrangements are made prior to the end of the auction. This is a NO RESERVE auction so the high bid will win it! It comes with the original service manual, a stack of receipts, old oil change sticker from 1974, and a printed off owners manual.
