1957 STUDEBAKER SILVER HAWK COUPE
This beautiful and original Silver Hawk was formerly owned by Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics. Resprayed in it's original color of Glendale Green (P-5716), the car's originality has been retained throughout... down to the dealer emblem on the rear trunk. The 289 c.i. V-8 starts with no less than 2 pumps and 1 turn of the key and settles into a perfect idle. It shifts without issue and pulls with confidence through it's 3 speed automatic transmission. The body is in excellent condition and the finish looks deep and lustrous age considering. Excellent black vinyl interior is true to factory as are the two tone door panels. Aftermarket air conditioning has been recently serviced and blows ice cold. A modern Sony head unit resides in the glove compartment, keeping the stock radio in place.
For those of you in the know, Studebaker was well ahead of it's time and these cars sold in relatively low numbers, making them hard to find. This Silver Hawk is the consummate California cruiser and draws smiles and a "thumbs up" response wherever it goes. A real head turner, it is perfect for the summer!
