1963 Studebaker R-1 Avanti Additional Info:
Here we have a 1963 Studebaker Avanit 4 speed transmission car for sale. The car is almost all original except a few minor upgrades. These include aluminum alloy wheels with Avanti center caps, 160mph R2 speedometer (showing 23,498, actual mileage unknwn), and newer style Stewart Warner tachometer. It has a very good condition steering wheel, no broken glass, and stainless and chrome are good to very good condition. The car has original carpet, with driver side wear. Carpet in truck is original and is in nice shape. Everything works and had new brake pads and one rebuilt caliper. The dreaded hog troughs are absolutely perfect. It has all original basic equipment such as power disc brakes, power steering, front and rear stabilizer bars, factory rear traction bars. The car has the optional stainless front grill. The engine is original and is a 289 240HP R-1 version. It runs good but has some normal oil leakage from the age of the car. The radio has an older upgrade to a cassette am/fm with no apparent cutting of dash to install. The paint is a older repaint that still shows good. It has some rock chips on the nose and some scratches. The car has the original seats accepting seat inserts which have been changed to burgundy which really dresses the car interior up. Also included are the original radio, rear view mirror, and front licence plate bracket. These are shown in the photo of the open trunk. This is one of the nicer Avanti cars out there and has a clean title. Direct all questions and inquires to Hal at 304-588-8575 call or text as I am listing this for my father-in-law who is getting too old to play and is liquidating some things. The airboat in the last photo is for sale also. This is a sold as is auction with no returns.
