Inside, Porsche’s then-new Exclusive Manufaktur division created a bespoke cabin featuring a rare mix of red, light gray, and black. The Turbo-style sport seats were upholstered in Doric Gray leather with perforated inserts and burgundy piping—a detail carried through the carpeting and interior accents. Nearly all interior trim surfaces were wrapped in leather, while a perforated black headliner offered a clean, refined contrast to the special-edition color scheme. Overall, the 911 SC Weissach Edition stands out as a highly collectible, beautifully specified special series that perfectly captures Porsche’s design and motorsport spirit of the early 1980s.
Vehicle Details
This Weissach Edition has been completely restored inside and out, with every stage of work documented and invoiced by the Porsche-specialist and Singer Certified shop Barnaba Autosport in Chicago.
Exterior: The body was fully stripped and repainted in its original factory color, followed by the addition of high-quality paint protection film. The original Fuchs wheels were restored to factory specification, and the stance was set to correct Euro ride height.
Mechanical: The car has been comprehensively refreshed mechanically, including suspension, engine, transmission, and hardware.
Upgraded to sport suspension with thicker torsion bars.
Original matching-numbers engine rebuilt with 3.2L pistons and cylinders, a 964-style oil pump, M1 cams, and Carrera chain tensioners.
Custom headers paired with a new Dansk exhaust.
Transmission rebuilt with new synchros and fitted with a WEVO gate shift kit.
All hardware replated using correct zinc finishes as per factory standards.
Interior: The interior was fully reupholstered in leather to original specification, replacing former vinyl components—such as the dashboard and door pulls—with leather as well. A custom heritage-inspired RPM gauge and the Porsche Classic radio complete the cabin.
