For Sale is a locally owned 1985 Porsche 911 European Targa. This vehicle has a very unique history. It was imported to the USA by the owner of Cardinal GMC here in Monterey, CA when the car was new. He owned it until 1988 and sold it to another local guy who kept it ever since. For 38 years it’s been a one owner vehicle. It was completely federalized for the North America market. Making it very easy to smog it in any state. The European cars came with special exclusive options that are very desirable in the USA. The long time owner of this Porsche drove this vehicle daily to work for years. It was a very hard decision for him to sell it, but he finally did. The car is beautiful inside and out. Finished in Indischrot red over black leather interior. It was garage kept, so cosmetic. The car is pretty nice. Watch the video and see for yourself. Mechanically it runs and drives excellent. The motor sounds great and has plenty of power. its original 3.2L mated with a 5-speed manual transmission. Transmission shifts through all gears. There are no unusual drivetrain or suspension noises. Brakes, and clutch feel good. Through the years he had local shops here do regular maintenance. It never had anything major done besides the clutch. It comes with its books, tool case, and spare tire. Clean title, no signs of accidents. Clean carfax. You get what you see!
