1964 Porsche 911 Additional Info:

1964 Porsche 911, one of the 232 Porsche 911s Produced in 1964.

This car comes with its original engine and a spare 1964 engine. The original engine is the one with the serial number 9003XX.

I blocked out the vin and serial numbers to try to keep the car somewhat inconspicuous, but it is a known car in the early 911 community. I can share all of the information and documents with serious buyers. Serious buyers please reach out to me directly, you can google my business “Runge Eleven” and get in touch with me that way, my phone number is on my website. Or message through here.

The spare engine is the one with serial number 9001XX. It is very complete and has a lot of unique components with very early date codes. One example of this is shown on the date of the head. There is a registry for these early 232 911s and there is document that goes into detail about the very early production 911 engine characteristics. This engine is in line with these characteristics, some components are unstamped/undated, others are stamped in a unique way. This engine is one of the first five or ten 911 engines ever built.

The body is relatively solid for an early 911. Based on what I can tell it has all of its original structural panels - floorpan, quarter panels, rocker panels. It will require some structural repairs, but overall it is a solid starting point and since it is unrestored you know what you are getting and nothing is disguised (except for a bad respray decades ago). If the buyer is interested I could do the structural repairs, I do this professionally to a very high standard with precise butt welding and spot welding to make the repairs nearly undetectable.

The original color is Silver Metallic over Grey Leather, a great color combination in my opinion.

This is a great opportunity to own a very rare 911 with a unique spare engine. This is a great car for a true enthusiasts who enjoys learning the ins and outs of what makes a ’64 911 a ’64 911. The registry for these cars has some great documentation of the details and the early 911 community is full of almost endless knowledge of these cars. I had hoped to restore this car with my dad, but the years are flying by and it seems unrealistic at this point. It is time to pass it on. I hope I can sell this car directly to the next owner who will give this car the full restoration it deserves. It will be stunning when completed in its original Silver Metallic.

In person inspections are welcome or even a facetime walk around. I can also share more photos privately. Feel free to make an offer.
