Vehicle Original VIN : WP0ZZZ96ZMS402086Reimel Motor Cars is delighted to present to you a 1991 Porsche 964 C2 with just 20k miles on the clock. This vehicle boasts a Rubystone paint exterior, black leather interior, and Alcantara interior. This 964 Porsche, which was originally manufactured in Rubystone or "Sternrueben," was delivered to Germany without a sunroof. It has been meticulously maintained and modified by reputable Porsche specialists since its purchase. One such specialist is Andreas Dahms, a Porsche Rally Race Driver and owner of a Porsche specialty shop in Germany. Dahms enhanced the car by installing a 3.8L engine using various RS and Cup parts. The car is estimated to produce between 290-310hp, and we will be dyno testing it in the upcoming weeks to confirm this. Additionally, the car features a 993 RS short ratio 6-speed gearbox, a 993 RS LWFW, and LSD. A Numeric shifter has been installed, and other rare components include a factory 993 RSR manual steering rack, external gearbox oil cooler, additional oil coolers in front fenders, and a bespoke exhaust. The interior has been designed to emulate the RS model, with thinner carpets, new Recaro Pole Position seats, Schroth 4-point street harnesses, and factory seat belts. The car was purchased in Germany and imported to the U.S. in June 2021 by a knowledgeable Porsche collector. He upgraded the suspension and brakes, installing new MCS 2-way coilovers, Tarret control arms, Torrington bearings, and other suspension components. The brakes were also upgraded to 993 Turbo Big Reds, with the front brakes being Ruf brakes (essentially the same as the 993 Turbo factory brakes). The car features new rotors and steel brake lines, and the cost of the suspension and brake upgrades alone total over $30k. The owner also fitted new 18" RH Speedlines to the car. Other maintenance performed during his ownership includes a recent rebuild of the gearbox by Second Gear Performance in Stroudsburg PA. All work on the car has been carried out by either Paul Schwartz, an air-cooled expert who was a mechanic on several Porsche Cup teams, or Eric Magnussen, a top Porsche tech and excellent racer. The car weighs approximately 2,700 pounds, including a few items that can be easily swapped or removed for weight savings, such as the wheels, electric AC, and a larger battery. With all the engine, suspension, and other work performed, this car is a pleasure to drive and will run circles around a RS. This 964 is truly one-of-a-kind and would be impossible to replicate. Even if you could find a Rubystone sunroof delete car and all the incredibly rare parts, the cost of doing so would be astronomical.
