1991 Porsche 911 Turbo Additional Info:
The Porsche enthusiasts revere the "Turbo" as it always was the unicorn of the production cycles. Porsche reserved very few bodies in their production of these high performance vehicles and seeing one on the streets or in the showroom was quite rare.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1991 Porsche 911 Turbo for your consideration. Power comes from a turbocharged 3.3L flat 6 cylinder motor that produced 320 horsepower at 5,750 rpm. Paired with the turbocharged engine is a 5-speed manual transmission (G50) with a limited-slip differential. The car was optioned from the factory with electric sunroof and the Guards Red exterior and Black leather along with red piping. The vehicle has a stellar look and the Turbo body is such a treat to gaze at while standing still or behind the wheel. Our short test drive revealed a spectacular ride and smooth shifts along with powerful braking. The turbo spools up as you would expect and if you are not careful can easily send you to your chiropractor for an adjustment as once it hits it is VERY impressive!
The exterior is finished in the striking color of Guards Red.17-inch, 5-spoke wheels feature the optional colored Porsche crests. The wheels are staggered in width to accommodate the larger rear fenders that were standard on the Turbo variant of the 964 generation 911. Other differences between the Turbo variant compared to the standard Carrera are more aerodynamic mirrors and the "whale tail" that is ventilated to accommodate the top-mounted intercooler. Both the body and undercarriage are clean and can be viewed in the gallery above.
According to the official Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche Cars North America, this car completed production on February 5, 1991, Other factory interior features include 4-way power front seats, an AM/FM Blaupunkt radio, and the optional electric sliding sunroof.
Mechanically this 911 Turbo is in great condition after receiving an engine-out inspection and maintenance in 2014. Both front and rear main seals were replaced along with the turbo seals. Also replaced were various exhaust pieces and engine gaskets. Maintenance records show that the maintenance was completed by Champion Porsche in Pompano Beach, Florida. Vehicle comes with an impressive binder full of service and parts receipts from the previous 5yrs that is in excess of $15k.
Included with this car is the Certificate of Authenticity that shows original engine and transmission codes, along with many maintenance records.
