The Exterior Condition.

Beautiful mirror like reflections on all panels. Body lines are consistant with the quality of the year,....the doors, hood, trunk and engine bay access door all open & close well.

The Polished Wheels are nice and have a nice gloss. The glass is clean & clear,....the lights are bright,..again,...circa bright:)

The only thing to report is a fog light bulb is out,..otherwise,...this 914 is in Collector Condition.

The Interior Condition.

Original rugs & seats,...very durable surfaces that have held up well over time. The cup holders are a cute addition.....I wish I though of that back when I was driving 914's in the early '80's. I remember stuffing my drinks between the center console and the passengers seat.....ohh the memories. I drove my 914's everywhere! Most of the time with oil,...but sometimes no so much:) I treated them like trucks,...I was just a 15 year old kid with a permit,....these cars are super tough,.....I love 'em.

The Carpeted Floor Mats are new,.....I think it needs some of those burlap mats,...remember those? All in all,...very nice original condition,...very clean and tidy inside. It is not restored,...just a nice original interior imo.

The Engine & Gearbox.

Nice driving,..starts right up,....well tuned,....clean engine bay....battery box & below are nice,.....rebuilt Computer,..so it should be nice & reasonably reliable mechanically. I used to drive my 914's on road trips,...500 mile round trips,...always made back,....I like these cars and I trust them. I had two 1.8 ltrs,.....I always heard the 1.7 fi was the better motor for Fuel Injection....anyway,...this is a good car that runs well and seems sorted out to enjoy instantly.

Original Aspects of Interest.

The paint on the floors is original.

The front trunk paint looks original.

The Seats & Dash look original.

The Trim Tags look original with the proper rivets.

The Targa Top has never been refinished and looks great.

The Interior Light Works.

The Guages Work.

In Closing.

I would buy the car to enjoy it.....many collectors are snapping these up for all the right reasons.....but mainly as an investment,....just look at 912's are doing,...early 911's,...the 914's will get swept up with those rocketing values.

I think ???? This is a one year only color as I remember,...but don't hold me to that,...either way,..the color is terrific,...what a cute car!

I think it's better to drive these 914's,...they don't like to sit too much. So please,...buy one......and drive it!
