1984 Porsche 911 RSR Backdate Additional Info:
1984 Porsche 911 RSR Backdate. Vin WP0AB0913ES120672. 137,620 Miles. Manual Transmission (915). Arrow Blue Exterior. Tan Leather Interior. Clean Carfax. Books, Manuals, 2 Keys, GT Racing Publication, Tools, Air-Compressor, Spare and a Jack. This great looking RSR Backdate is the creation of a well renowned and prominent race car designer, Hank Godfreson of GT Racing. The overall looks and performance are spot on and this car is a certain head turner! The car originally came from the factory in Slate Blue Metallic, which was changed over by Hank to the more prominent looking Arrow Blue. This eye-popping color is the perfect fit for a backdate, and is very much reminiscent of the very popular Mexico Blue color. This entire car with the exception of the doors is fiberglass. Hank’s company, GT Racing, manufacturers parts for almost all the Porsche racers. He used parts out of his catalog in order to show off his workmanship. The car is obviously very light, which makes it an incredible performer! The outside car specs consist of 9” wide front fenders, 11” wide rear quarter panels, ’73 RSR rear bumper with shortened rear bumperettes, and dual exhaust openings. The interior did not see any major changes because Hank has always relished comfort and practicality. Many backdated cars come with custom seats which are not exactly the most comfortable to sit in, and most of them lack some key adjustment options. This particular 911 comes with its original Sport Seats, which are extremely comfortable and make the riding experience much more enjoyable. The car does have some modern interior touches which consist of a carbon fiber dash cover and a carbon fiber radio delete insert. The car is powered by a very powerful 3.2 motor. Engine performance torque comes on really strong at 4100 RPM and continues to the red line. This torque combined with its close ratio 915 transmission makes it a very quick track or autocross car. The car also has a factory limited slip. Other key mechanical pieces include: Cross drilled rotors & Padgit pads, Axel tie-downs, McPherson strut braces and Bilstein shocks. Upon delivery of the car to our shop in Oakwood, GA, a leak down test on the motor has been performed by a local Porsche shop, and the results were outstanding! The numbers on all cylinders ranged between 2% - 3%. Overall, this is a great looking piece of machinery with outstanding performance! Collector car financing available at competitive rates.
