1984 Porsche Carrera 911 VIN# WPOAB0913ES120588
3.2 Litre 5 – Speed Manual Trans.
Finished in Rubi Red Metallic this 1984 Carrera 3.2 is a real survivor. Showing 78,769 miles this was very well looked after until it went into long term storage in 1993.
The exterior Is very straight with factory panel gaps and original paint in place, the New Mexico sun has baked some areas, with clear coat peeling. On the whole it would look great being used just as it sits, all original example.
The interior is beautiful, light grey leather, please pay attention to the images, seats are in great shape, carpets, dash top etc; … Engine compartment is the same story, please look at the presentation, a Porsche affection ado would love it, all anodising on parts from the factory show present. Motor starts and runs on the button, a great sounding Carrera. The front trunk compartment is very clean, one of the best unmolested fuse boxes you have seen, again all anodising still in place. Carpet floor and both sides still on the poppers, spare wheel unused and all tools present. Porsche owners club car, enthusiast owned.
Wheels and tires are in great shape, but the underside of the car is the real gem!
All ancillary components that were anodised from new are also still wearing its coating. All chalk marks, wax pen marks all still apparent. The shocks, brake backing plates, motor casing, transaxle all look in very clean condition. I cannot stress the appearance of this vehicle enough, a proper survivor car to be either used as is, restored sympathetically or would make a great “Backdate” or “Safari” conversion.
All numbers are present in the images, front floor VIN, Tag in Drivers Window, Engine Number on Generator Stand, and Trans on casing.
The car was put into storage by its owner in 1993, after a disgruntled person hit the rear quarter and roof panel, and rear window with a bat. The owner filed an insurance claim and was subsequently paid out for the damage, and bought the car back from the insurance company.
The car is subsequently on a New Mexico Salvage Title as a result of this incident which is a drag. You can see in the images where we PDR’d the damage, and its ready to paint if you wish. Carfax shows DMV title problems reported and Odometer problems reported. The mileage reported problem is strange, and we believe clerical, the cars condition underneath is to good to be high miles. The recorded odometer mileage was 76,932 in October 2002, the car was stored a short time after and now showing just under 79,000.
This car is turn key, runs and drives around our yard, and stops as well. It will require a service and any other maintenance work you would associate with an older car just being pulled from a storage facility. Comes with New Mexico Title.
This Carrera is a great car, and will be a prime buy for someone, look at the prices rising!!!
