1956 Porsche Speedster 1600 Additional Info:
This beautiful replica of the 1956 Porsche Speedster was built on a 1970 Volkswagen chassis by a manufacturer in Texas. Black exterior with Sand (tan) leather interior. It is in excellent condition inside and out. Has a back seat with seat belts. Convertible top along with side window panels, convertible top cover (when in the down position) as well as a tonneau cover. The tonneau cover is perfect for keeping the rear seats covered or the passenger area covered when driving alone. That helps with driving with the top down on cool fall days. When parked the tonneau cover completely covers the entire interior for security as well as rain protection. It has a very nice sound system as well as air conditioning. The previous owner live in FL and used it quite a bit but I rarely turn it on.
This vehicle was factory built in 2007. I have a copy of the build sheet listing the various options/upgrades such as the A/C for $2,574 and $1,554 sound system. I believe I am the third owner. I purchased in 2012 with 2,468 miles and I've only put on 1,647 miles (roughly 235 miles per year). It has always been stored in climate controlled space while I've owned it.
It's in nearly perfect condition. There is a small area on the front edge of the driver's door that the paint has a small crack in it (photo included) and two of the hubcaps have a spot where the chrome plating has come off (easily replaceable. Occasionally the fuel gauge reads completely full after filling up and continues to read full until the fuel level drops down to a lower level. Small oil leak - no surprise there.
I love this car and would likely keep it in my collection but, as you can see, I only drive it a couple hundred miles per year and I need to make space in my collection. I was able to drive my daughter in the Homecoming parade last year. It's a perfect parade car or for weekend trips with your partner. I've taken it to car shows and I place the sign in front of the car to give people some information about it. That will go with the car in the sale. Every time you drive this car people will honk and whistle. Everyone absolutely loves it and the condition is amazing.
Feel free to ask any questions or to come see it. I can also deliver it to a garage of your choosing for a repurchase inspection at your cost.
