1960 Porsche 356 T5 Notchback Coupe BARN FIND Additional Info:
1960 Porsche 356 B Notchback Coupe Project, VIN 200211 Engine 604527
Here we have a true barn find. I know that term gets thrown around a lot these days but this time last week this car was sitting in a barn in Virginia, and when I pulled it out last weekend the mice scattered, literally! So yes it is a true barn find and a T5 Karmann Hardtop at that, so pretty rare. The car itself looks mostly complete and everything is where it is supposed to be, so not a car that's been taken apart and had the parts scattered. This one looks to have been put in the barn with a "I'll get to it" spoken, but never realized. A couple of things that make this a little nicer than your average project are things like the complete dash or the un-kinked hood, these are the little details. The engine looks to be complete and turns over with a wrench but no attempt has been made to start it. The underside does have rust, so please look closely at all the pictures of the underside. So many of these Notchbacks were cut into cabriolets that finding one of these complete and un-cut is getting extremely hard to do, so if you've been looking for a Notchback project, I would give this one some serious thought. Just think of this car restored pulling up at the next concours, with a line of restored Speedsters and having a notchback, I bet you'll get more looks.Another thing to remember when you're looking at one of our auctions is unlike so many auctions with reserves that are never met, our auctions almost always meet reserves and the cars get sold. So if you've been left wanting while looking for a 356 project, bid on this one and you won't be.Don't miss out!
Clear title and ready for export. I am a 356 and Early 911S Registry member with an eBay Feedback Rating of 100%, so bid with confidence. Please ask any and all questions, they will be answered quickly and honestly. Please see our other auctions here for more hard to find Porsche parts, or shop the Unobtanium Store for even more Porsche parts and restoration supplies!
