The Porsche 914 or VW-Porsche 914 is a mid-engined sports car designe, manufactured, and marketed collaboratively by Volkswagen and Porsche from 1969 to 1976. It was available as a targa topped two seat roadster powered by either a flat-4 or flat 6 engine.

This is a very nice example of the 1976 Porsche 914. Mechanically it has undergone a complete engine overhaul within the last 2 years. It is the original engine and the work was done by DC Racing and Development in Irving, Texas.

The interior of the Porsche needs a little work. Cosmetically she could use some new items, but mechanically you have a great running car.The dash has some cracks, which is why the dash cover was added.

The seats are in good condition as is the carpeting.

The center arm rest could use a recovering.

1976 would be the last year for the little 914 which was a only produced from 1969 -1976. There were only about 4100 of these cars produced in 76, compared to over 11,000 in 75 and many more in previous years.

The rear trunk is made just to hold the hard top. It fits easily into this compartmentThere is one of the plastic wheels missing that help the lid go up and down. It still opens with little effort.

The overhauled flat 4 engine runs extremely well.

Be sure to watch our video of this great running 914 in action.

The front trunk it solid and rust free, and houses the spare.

All 4 wheels are in very good condition, with no curb rash anywhere.

The undercarriage is in great condition. We did not see any noticeable rust except for the normal surface rust.

In 1975 and 76 the rubber bumpers were introduced to the 914. They were said to give the car a little more stability at high speeds.
